Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Rankaya Media LLC (“we”) collects and uses personal data when you visit poskio.com, contact us or buy a licence. We are the data controller for this processing.

Data we collect

• Order data: name, email address, billing address, country, company name (if given), products purchased, order amount and licence details.
• Payment data: processed directly by Stripe. We receive limited information such as the last four digits and type of card, and the payment status — never your full card number.
• Contact form data: name, email, business type and your message.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, recorded in server logs and by essential cookies.
• Approximate location: your country is derived from your IP address using a database stored on our own server (IP geolocation by DB-IP), to show prices in your currency. Your IP address is not sent to any third party for this purpose.

Data stored in the software

The POS software stores your business data (products, sales, customers) locally on your own computer. We do not have access to that database.

How we use data

• To process orders, deliver licences and send order emails (performance of a contract).
• To answer enquiries and provide support (legitimate interest / contract).
• To prevent fraud and secure the Website (legitimate interest).
• To meet tax, accounting and legal obligations (legal obligation).

We do not sell your personal data and do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the cart and checkout (WooCommerce session cookies), language preference cookies and Stripe fraud-prevention cookies during payment. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent first: Analytics cookies are only set after you click “Accept”, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Elsewhere, Analytics runs by default. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. No advertising cookies are used, and Analytics data is not used for advertising.

Who we share data with

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing.
• Hostinger — website hosting.
• Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC — website analytics (Google Analytics 4), with consent where required.
• The software publisher — only the information necessary to issue and activate your licence.
• Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you are outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate, using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

Retention

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law (generally up to 7 years). Contact messages are kept for up to 2 years. Server logs are kept for a short period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email contact@rankaya.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

The Website uses HTTPS encryption. Access to order data is limited to authorised staff.

Children

The Website and Software are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
