Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of poskio.com (the “Website”) and any purchase of software licences offered on it. The Website and all sales are operated by Rankaya Media LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

2. The software

The Website offers a Windows point of sale application (the “Software”) in a free edition and in paid editions (“Go”, “Pro” and “Pro+”). The Software is developed by a third-party software publisher and distributed commercially by us. Product descriptions on the Website describe the capabilities of the Software as supplied; features marked “where supported” or “where available” depend on configuration, edition and jurisdiction.

The Software is available for Windows 10 and Windows 11, macOS and Android. It is not available as an iOS app; on Pro, phone or tablet browsers (including iOS) can be used as ordering devices on your local network. Some features or hardware integrations may differ between platforms.

3. Free edition

The free edition is provided at no charge and “as is”. The download link on the Website points to the official installer hosted by the software publisher. We may change or withdraw the free edition at any time.

4. Paid licences

Paid editions are available as a lifetime licence (one-time payment, no expiry) or a monthly licence (one-time payment for one month of use). Neither is a subscription: monthly licences do not renew automatically and you are never charged again unless you place a new order.

“Lifetime” means the licence has no expiry date and remains valid for as long as the Software edition is maintained by its publisher. It includes access to software updates made available for your edition.

Each licence is for use by the purchasing business. You may not resell, sublicense, share or publish licence keys. Activation requires an internet connection.

5. Prices and payment

Prices depend on your country. Customers in Europe are shown and charged prices in euros (EUR); all other customers in US dollars (USD). Prices shown on the Website are based on your approximate location; the price charged is determined by the billing country you enter at checkout and is displayed before you pay. Entering a false billing country to obtain a lower price is a breach of these Terms, and we may cancel and refund such orders.

Prices are payable in full at checkout. Unless stated otherwise, prices do not include taxes that may apply in your country; where applicable, taxes are shown at checkout.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your bank may apply foreign transaction or currency conversion fees.

We may change prices at any time; changes do not affect orders already paid.

6. Delivery

Licences are delivered electronically by email. No physical goods are shipped. Pro+ setup services are performed remotely. See our Licence Delivery Policy for timings.

6a. Pro+ setup service

Pro+ includes the Pro licence plus a remote setup service: priority setup, entry of up to 10,000 products from a product list you provide, receipt and invoice configuration with your logo, tax number and VAT details, training for your team, 12 months of same-day priority help (on business days) and a check-up call after 30 days. Timelines such as “selling within 48 hours” start when we have received your complete product list and remote access to your computer, and depend on your cooperation.

7. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. As licences are one-time purchases, there is no recurring plan to cancel.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Website or Software for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to circumvent licence activation, and not to reverse engineer, copy or redistribute the Software except as permitted by law.

9. Your data and compliance

The Software stores your business data on your own computer. You are responsible for backing it up (paid editions include backup tools), for the security of your computers and network, and for ensuring your use of the Software — including receipts, invoices and tax reporting — complies with the laws of your jurisdiction. We do not guarantee that the Software meets fiscal, tax or e-invoicing certification requirements in any specific country.

10. Support

Support and onboarding are provided by email at the level described for your edition. We aim to respond within a reasonable time on business days but do not guarantee specific response times.

11. Warranty disclaimer

Except as expressly stated in these Terms and to the extent permitted by law, the Website and Software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.

13. Intellectual property

The Software is the property of its publisher and is licensed, not sold. Website content, the Poskio name and design are owned by Rankaya Media LLC. Other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

14. Third-party services

The Website links to third-party services (such as the installer host and Stripe). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings locally.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at the time of your order applies to that order.
